I'm an Indiana transplant originally from the eastern mountains of West Virginia. My husband, Jonathan and I moved from Ohio to Indiana in August 2024 when I got hired at Ball State University to teach in their Creative Writing and First Year Writing Program. Since my husband and I are relatively new to the area, we're open to meeting up with others and getting to know more people around the area.
Music and writing have always held a special place in my heart. And I'm excited to get back to singing after a year hiatus.
I have been actively involved in music since I was a teenager and my love of music was further developed when I took voice lessons for the first time in college which led me graduate with a minor in vocal performance.
I have sung in many ensembles and small groups including the ZanesvilIe Civic Chorus, The Parkersburg Symphony Chorus, The Parkersburg Choral Society West Virginia Wesleyan College's Concert Chorale and Concentus Vocum, as well as serve as Cantor and choir member taking part in various church choirs where I have resided. Though I've sung in more classical settings, I love Broadway show tunes and am always up to attend a musical.
